Online TV Show ‘Coal’

Some networks like Spike TV post full episodes of hit shows as online TV content. A new show on Spike TV called 'Coal' is one of the shows that is available in full episodes online. More than 20,000 people watched the 45 minute premiere of the show online, with over 6 million viewers watching on cable.
The SpikeTV website not only allows anyone to watch the show online, it also features a lot of additional content like bios, articles, and episode guides that give viewers a closer look at the back-story of the show. 'Coal' details the lives of coal miners in McDowell County, West Virginia. The show accurately depicts the dangers, challenges and real-life situations in the coal mining industry. The show premiered days before the anniversary of the Upper Big Branch Mine disaster, making it especially poignant for viewers in West Virginia.
