30 Rock and Friday Night Lights on NBC.com for free

30 Rock and Friday Night Lights on NBC.com for free

A new show that I like is '30 Rock.' It has some good laughs and memorable lines. I see that NBC is making all previously aired episodes available for free over the holidays. They are doing likewise for 'friday night lights.' NBC says that this promotion (is that really the right word?) will end when new shows resume in mid-January.

Since NBC U owns both shows outright, it has the rights to do as it wishes. NBC's digital rights to other shows, such as "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip," limit how they can be used online.

I read in Variety that "NBC will have streamed 30 million full episodes online in the fourth quarter, with viewers spending on average 43 minutes with each show."
