Flush from success, the AT&T U-Verse sales juggernaut is riding high and ready to take on Ohio.
Officials at station group Sinclair said this week they have a deal allowing AT&T to offer their ABC and Fox stations there on the IPTV U-verse service.
That could compete against time warner Cable who has a lot of homes in the state and the Ohio capital area, the 32nd-largest DMA. U-verse, however, has shown that it rolls out gradually when it enters a new market, favoring a neighborhood-by-neighborhood approach rather than flooding the zone. OK, that comment was charitable because so far AT&T has not gotten much more than a few thousand homes in any new media market it enters.
