Comcast wants to show YouTube clips on VOD

We have had a flurry of 'user generated content' stories wherein some television network or show entices viewers to make a specific type of Mashup and see who wins a contest. Many of the contest have an additional hook that results in the winner or finalists' video being shown on television.
Well, Comcast wants to do that one better. The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Comcast has had talks with YouTube and Revver and others about adding "user generated content" to its video-on-demand service.
Note to the media: let's stop calling viewers 'users' because it makes them sound like something less than people. It kind of makes me envision drug addicts, or something.
I might make a suggestion to Comcast – invest in better VOD navigation. I rarely want to call up entire shows On-Demand just because it is too painful to hunt for something to watch when you don't know where it is or what you want. The thought of going through that torture in order to see a 2 minute clip about a man wearing 155 T-shirts at once is unbearable!
