Filed in archive Business Trends on October 5, 2006
Court TV is jumping on the user-generated content bandwagon. And they are soliciting viewers with the following message:
"Got outrageous, can't make this stuff up, action-packed video? Whether you're a cop, store owner or just someone who happened to catch a high-impact encounter with the law on tape, we want your footage."
If you are interested, the new Web site is called "R.E.D TAPE"
R.E.D TAPE is part of Court TV's broadband video service, R.E.D (which stands for "Real, Exciting, Dramatic") and also0 offers downloadable Court TV programming, VOD options and mobile verdict alerts.
Viewers whose videos are subsequently aired will receive $100, while those whose videos are aired on the television show "Video justice" will receive $500.
