Death Of The Banner Ad?
I know, I know. I am supposed to like internet banner ads -- especially writing for this blog! But the truth is I've always hated them and always will. In a good newslinks, bad news story (at Forbes.com) comes word that we might see the death of the banner ad in our lifetimes.

Why? Apparently, broadband penetration among some company's user base is so high that at least one company (IGN recently bought out by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp.) believes it can make more money by selling more rich media and video ads instead.

OK, one company does not a trend make. But I can hope that banners start to die off, can't I?
