Eurocinema in VOD Deal with First Run Features

One of the beautiful things about the Internet is that there really are no national borders. So, a Web site devoted to European theatrical movies and shorts is accessible to everyone.

Tracy Swedlow is reporting that Eurocinema "has signed an exclusive deal with independent film distributor, First Run Features," making their "premiere" titles available on Eurocinema's VOD service "starting in December."

First Run titles set to premiere on Eurocinema next month include "La Petite Lili," "Go for Zucker," "Merci pour le Chocolat," and "Kira's Reason."

As with Eurocinema's other films, each First Run title will be presented as the centerpiece of a two-hour, hosted, thematic programming package, including supplemental content such as director interviews, "making-of" documentaries, host commentary, and thematically relevant short films.

Eurocinema's service is currently available in 12 million North American homes, where it is carried by Time Warner Cable, Charter, Mediacom, Atlantic Broadband, Bresnan, Bright House, Buckeye Communications, and Shaw.
