HDTV over a copper wire poses challenge for AT&T
Filed in archive IPTV on December 19, 2006
I am still looking forward to testing out AT&T's U-Verse when it rolls out here in the San Francisco bay area. Disappointed, but still interested. It is better to get the product right before a major roll out.
A particular draw for me is the High definition televisoin channels (HDTV). I'm expecting more than the meager number that my Comcast service offers. But here is something that I did not know before: the copper wire leading to the house means that I cannot watch two HD channels simultaneously. Supposedly, we will have that capability next year.
