In2TV launches Looney Tunes and Rock n' Flix Channels

AOL's advertising-supported broadband VOD service, In2TV has launched two new channels: the Looney Tunes Channel, featuring classic animated shorts and the Rock n' Flix Channel, which features memorable musical performances from Warner Bros. films.

In addition, AOL is making available a number of Hanna-Barbera cartoons, including "The Jetsons," "The Flintstones," "Magilla Gorilla" and "Top Cat" on In2TV's Animation Channel, and making available "My Favorite Martian" on the service's Comedy Channel.

According to Tracy Swedlow's itvt newsletter, "the new Looney Tunes Channel offers 100 animated shorts, produced between 1936 and 1964, including the first screen appearances of Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig and Daffy Duck."

The new Rock n' Flix channel, meanwhile, features such performances as those of Prince in "Purple Rain," Willie Nelson in "Honeysuckle Rose," and Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino and Frankie avalon in 1958's "Jamboree."
