Is that a Phone in your pocket or are You just happy to see TV?

Is that a Phone in your pocket or are You just happy to see TV?
Half the subscribers to mobile video services don't actually watch video according to "How People Use Mobile Video," a study released by Knowledge Networks. Instead, the laptop emerges as the most-used device on which to watch mobile video.

"The video is a nice addition [to a mobile subscription], people like having the most technically advanced cell phone," said Dave Tice, VP of client service at Knowledge Networks. "They may be signing up for something that makes them look cool for now."

Hmmm. This is a tough one to call. Is it because people don't have the stamina of looking passed 5 menu screens just to find interesting content? Is it that people just don't get how much fun it is to watch video on a 2" screen? Or is it that television is a passive "Lean Backlinks" activity and mobility often occurs when we are active?
