ITV Using Schematic to Re-Design its Web Site for Broadband Video
Filed in archive Internet TV on October 17, 2006
For all you readers in Great Britain, Tracy Swedlow is reporting that the Independent Television Network ("ITV") in the UK has chosen Los Angeles-based interactive agency, Schematic, to re-design its Web site with new broadband features, including a broadband-compatible online video player.
Better to report it now because I will forget this in the months ahead.
Schematic was responsible for the design of ABC's new broadband video player, which recently won an interactive TV Emmy, as well as for the design of CNN's Pipeline broadband VOD service, and of Starz Entertainment's Vongo movie download service.
The revamped Web site is scheduled to launch sometime in the first half of 2007.
According to ITV, it will serve as a broadband video portal that will allow viewers to watch simulcasts of live broadcast TV, catch up with recent episodes of shows, and access a broad array of archived content.
