Nielsen Begins Metering Online Usage In TV Households
Filed in archive Statistics by martino on January 11, 2007
Nielsen Media Research is about to do something new. It is installing Internet tracking software on the home computers of same people in its TV ratings households. Why you may ask? Simple, this marks the first step in the development of a so-called "integration panel" measuring both traditional TV-based and online video content.

Nielsen CEO susan Whiting boasted in a letter that "to date we have installed and are receiving Internet data from more than 20 homes."

Now, isn't that just like Nielsen?
