Revver Ups Payouts from its Deal with Fame TV

Revver is a viral video Web site with a twist – it shares advertising revenue with people who upload video to the site. So, the more popular a particular piece of content is, theoretically, the more money the owner can make.
There is news that Revver is poised to increase the compensation it pays as part of a new distribution deal with U.K. broadcast network Fame TV. It appears that Revver will make clips available to Fame TV who will then select videos to air on the channel. Fame TV will also urge viewers to vote on their favorite clips by texting a message from their cell phones, for a fee.
The wireless carriers will give a portion of that fee to Fame TV, which will give 50% to Revver; Revver, in turn, will give half of its take, or 25% of the amount Fame TV receives, to the video creators.
Got that? Don't worry; there will be no test tomorrow.
