Sci-fi's Sanctuary is available in HD and online
Filed in archive Channels by martino on August 21, 2007
Vuze announced in early August that it had reached 7 million users in its first six months of availability. They also announced that it would be the first to offer BBC's The Office for download and streaming.

Vuze is also partnering with Stage 3 Media to offer Sanctuary, the acclaimed sci-fi Web series by the creators of Stargate SG-1, for worldwide download in high definition on Vuze.com. Sanctuary is the first broadcast caliber sci-fi series made for the Web and the Guinness World Records recently awarded Sanctuary "Highest Budget for a Direct-to-Web Broadcast".

Their site describes Sanctuary this way: "Fusing stunning visual effects, Sanctuary takes the viewer into the thrilling world of Dr. Helen Magnus and her protege, Will Zimmerman. Together they are drawn into a frightening and mysterious world, where science meets the supernatural."

As best I can see, this is a pay-per-view service. But if you want some high-end quality sci-fi that you cannot find on television, it just might be the ticket for you.
