Starring Amanda Congdon to run on Blip.TV
Amanda Congdon is likely the first cross-over star from broadband video to television.
She initially rose to fame as the singular personality behind Rocketboom. When I used to tune into that program, it was very funny. Ever since some controversial circumstances there that I never understood, she left and has been busy with many project. She signed with HBO to help deliver a comedy show and she partnered with Ford on a video blog project having something to do with environmental. She now works as a video blogger for abcnews.com.
Well, she has landed another gig this time as the star of a new Web-based television show on blip.tv. The show is called 'Starring Amanda Congdon' and supposedly will provide a behind-the-scenes look at her life in Los Angeles as she juggles new projects in traditional and new media. It will also be distributed to iTunes and MySpace.
