Study: Most Watch Web Video, But Avoid The Ads
Wait, this just in ... study says that most people watch web video but avoid the ads. So let me see if I have this correct: people aren't drawn in by the advertising? Shocking!

The study that I recited was done by Burst Media. It also said that 78% believe that the ads were intrusive, 62% said the ads disrupted their Web surfing experience, and 48% said they typically stop watching video after they encounter an ad. And as proof of how good a quality video they must be watching, 28% said they leave the Web site immediately upon noticing the ad.

Let's see what other statistic Gemslinks may interest us ... men more likely to watch online video than women (mumble, mumble) ... women more likely to hate the ads (mumble, mumble) ... Ah, here we are: the most popular type of video content to view are news clips, followed by movie trailers.

I hesitate to point out that movie trailers are a form of advertising.
