In another sign of how the Internet is rapidly turning into the fourth video distribution platform (broadcast, cable, and satellite the other three) here is the story of the Sundance Channel making its first programming buy specifically for the Web.

Sundance Airs 'Art of Seduction' only on Web

It has bought a ten-part short film called "The Art of Seduction" about, well, just what it says it's about.

And the Sundance Channel is scheduling it as if it were television with each 2-minute episode initially airing Mondays. The debut episode is called nude Cabose airing this Monday, Oct. 30. Other titles are "120 Seconds to Get Elected"; "On Fire" and "Dirty Dog."

A check at Broadcasting and Cable (subscription needed) says that Sundance has the TV rights but it will not air on the cable/satellite network initially. "But the channel is getting its own programming infusion with 13 more episodes of Asia Extreme, genre films from South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand."

This series is also available on the mobile video service Helio.
