CNN.com launched a new video-centric website that replaces the subscription-based Pipeline service with free ad-supported video sourced live from CNN.

The new video player is Flash-based instead of Microsoft Windows Media-based, plays in a widescreen format and will feature four live streams to chose from, according to reports. Users will be able to customize the player to create playlists, target news from their local area and provide feedback about stories.
