Verizon Tries To Overtake Cable High Definition TV Service With “FIOS”
Filed in archive HDTV on June 22, 2010

Having a high definition digital widescreen television on which to view one's programming choices is one of life's nicer things.
But these bad boys come with baggage; they need to be fed a constant diet of expensive high definition signals.
This includes the haute cuisine of Blu-Ray DVDs, or even standard DVDs, as well as the ever popular cable TV signals, to which my set has an extreme addiction to premium channels.
Hey, maybe you haven't noticed, but cable services are getting extremely expensive, and, at least in my area in Las Vegas, the service, in my opinion, has been deteriorating.
I started surfing the net for a better deal on an ISP and TV service provider, and as luck would have it, I came across an interesting concept being pushed by Verizon, that is not available here.
Check out this bundle by Verizon called "FIOS" and search for similar packages. You could end up saving a bundle by switching to satellite TV and Internet.
