Verizon’s new program guide
Verizon is previewing a new interactive media guide for its FiOS television service. The company took over the viewer interface from Microsoft along with other IPTV modules. Based upon some of the pictures at Informitv.com, it appears to have worked because they are slick and have an emotional appeal.
The electronic program guide has color graphics with transparency and a tabbed menu system with animated layers.

The interface supposedly has a rapid response to user input. You can do network searches across channels, video-on-demand titles and digital video recordings, based on either multi-tap, virtual keyboard, or scroll-wheel predictive text entry. Also, video-on-demand titles can be viewed as a list or with poster art, with trailers available for selected titles.
If you are a FiOS TV customer, expect to see it rolled out this summer.
