What if Television was good?

What if Television was good?

This year's lineup yields the strongest signs yet that some sort of life force is returning to network television after years of absence; at least that is what the Wall Street Journal says.

Dorothy Rabinowitz (the author) goes on to give some shows noteworthy mention: NBC's "30 Rock" and ABC's "Brothers and Sisters" and NBC's "Friday Night Lights." She likes that NBC's "The Office" and CBS's sharp-witted, decidedly adult "criminal minds" have survived.

She's right when she says "some force is at work." I believe that the name of that force is viewer control. We can now watch what we want, when we want it, and (increasing) on the device we want to watch it on. Boredom with the same old stuff can now be answered by shifting online and watching YouTube or downloading a movie with ease.

The television networks can fight back by making shows that people want to watch. I pray that this is what they are doing.

In Germany we have someting that is called DVB-T TV. With this system you can watch 28 Programms anywhere you go in digital quality. You can see these programms everywhere with a small TV.
